Three Floyds Brewpub – Munster, Indiana

Most days, I feel like a fool. Today is no different.
Last week, I watched a Hop-Cast episode about Three Floyds (FFF) and reminisced about our times there. Then, last night, I was discussing FFF with a fellow Brews Traveler and found out that even though he is a fanatic, he had never been there. I politely said, “Check out our site and see what your missing.” – or something else that was clearly slurred and a bit more profane.
Well, it turns out that I had never written the article on FFF. I had never written the article on FFF. I had never written the article on FFF. (Each line should be said progressively louder to get the full effect of what is going on in my head.)
So, again, today is no different. I feel like a fool.

Three Floyds is, by and large, one of the most unique and creative brewpubs that we have been to, thus far.
Finding the brewpub is half the fun and walking in brings you to another dimension. It’s like the Star Wars bar or possibly the bar at the Hilton during the Chiller Theatre Convention in Jersey. (This is a great convention if you have never been!)
Three Floyds brings us Dark Lord, Dreadnaught and Alpha King among other creative and tasty beverages. They also have a strong sense of their geekdom whether it’s with their beer, labels, artwork, designs or their culture. It takes me back to my days when I collected comic books and drank Mountain Dew out of a long neck bottle.( Mmmmmm….. Long Neck Bottle.)
I could go on and on about Three Floyds, but I won’t. I won’t because I believe it would be better for you to experience it yourself. It is an eclectic atmosphere with movies or sports shown on the wall. Couches lining the dining area and a beautiful view of the brewing equipment from your table. It is set back in an industrial area and is attached to their warehouse. (Genius idea, I might add.) The food is delicious and my favorite is the Fry Cone with their homemade sauces. It seems to go with everything.
As foolish as I was not to post the Three Floyds visit, you would be just as foolish not to stop there when you are in the area. Take the time out of your day and walk into a real life Pop Culture phenomenon. It’s worth the drive, I promise. Cheers!
